Operation: Family Experience

It’s your mission, should you choose to accept it.
Operation FX is Georgetown COC Children’s ministry program that uses Memory Missions, Special Operation Services, and Parent Initiatives, to help parents, teachers and kids make knowing, loving and serving God a part of their daily lives. We believe that spiritually growing our children to know, love and serve God is the most important part of their education. In fact, we feel it’s the most important part of their lives!

Imagine your child continuously serving others in the name of Christ, talking openly to you about where they have seen God in their lives each day, and quoting scripture from heart while celebrating in a fun and encouraging environment. Sounds great, right? But, if you’re like most of us, sitting around the dinner table for a daily family devotional isn’t happening. There isn’t enough time and most of us don’t know where to begin. That’s why we’ve created Operation Family Experience (Operation FX). Our children’s program designed to realistically disciple our kids – as a team!

Parent Initiative
Georgetown COC can disciple our kids only a few hours in a week. Our greatest resource is you! In our Parent Initiative, we encourage parents to talk with their kids at least 20 minutes a day about God either all at once or in five minute increments. You could set a time with your kids to talk about where they have seen God in their lives (we call these God Sightings) or talk about SOS Projects, Memory Missions and/ or discuss their bible lessons at home. Read on to find out more.

Memory Missions
Memory Missions focus on knowing God’s word by heart. From Bible basics to encouragement passages, Memory Missions develop a growing body of scripture your child will have close to their heart for a lifetime. Each age group will has an eight week Memory Mission that will be reinforced at church and home.

Special Operation Services
With Op: FX, your family is encouraged to participate in Special Operation Services at home. These projects can benefit our church family, your family, the community or the world.

We have prayerfully researched and developed practical tools, curriculum and encouragements that will help your family achieve the mission of our kids knowing, loving and serving God -forever!

We hope that you will join us in our mission.
