It is our mission to help people grow into fully formed followers of Jesus Christ who know, love, and serve God.
The Georgetown Church of Christ has a rich, 120+ year history in the city of Georgetown. Our church has grown a lot since it first began in 1892 at the Fair Grounds Springs with only eighteen members. Now we are blessed to be in a wonderful facility in West Georgetown, but are even more blessed to be God’s servants in this great city. We are deeply indebted to those past generations of believers who have laid the groundwork in our city. Our hope is that we will be able to continue that work, not only here in Georgetown but also in Greater Austin.
What to Expect
What is Worship Like at Georgetown? Our worship is fairly simple and designed to keep the focus on God, not ourselves. Every week we gather to sing, pray, take communion, and hear teaching on God’s Word. We have people of all ages and backgrounds in our church and encourage you to come as you are! It is our goal to create an experience of worship that is transforming hearts more into the image of God. We want everyone to encounter God when they worship with us.
Here are some things you might want to know about as you plan your visit:
Nursery – We provide a nursery so that parents can focus on their worship to God.
Connection Groups – Connection Groups are small gatherings of our members in homes Sunday evening or afternoon. Contact Paul Partlow for more information on when and where are groups are currently meeting.
