The Georgetown Church of Christ desires to share the love of Christ with those in our community.  Below are just a few of the ministries we have invested in as a church.

jailmin

The Jail Ministry has existed at the Georgetown Church of Christ since 1985.  In this ministry, certified volunteers are able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in various prisons around Central Texas.  Also, many volunteer outside of the jails by grading correspondence courses provided by World Bible School.  There are a number of ways to be involved in this ministry.  If you are interested in learning more please contact Vara Gray at

lifeline-chaplaincy

Lifeline Chaplaincy is a regional organization that serves the needs of the seriously ill.  We have many in our congregation who support this organization by volunteering their time and giving financially.  To find out more about this organization you can visit their website at www.lifelinechaplaincy.org.

backpack-buddies

Backpack Buddies is an ministry that provides weekend meals for those students who rely on school supported lunches.  Every Friday during the school year, many volunteers from our church gather at Mitchell Elementary in Georgetown to pack sacks of non-perishable food items for students to take home for the weekend.  This is a wonderful ministry that is making a huge impact in our community!  For more information about this ministry please visit there website at www.georgetownbuddies.com.

homelessout

The Homeless Outreach Ministry is a fairly new ministry of the Georgetown Church of Christ which seeks to provide for the physical needs of those who are homeless in the greater Austin metro.  This ministry seeks to provide our members with practical tools to provide for the needs of the homeless they encounter.  Our primary resource for this ministry is building and delivering “Blessing Bags” which contain toiletries, snacks, socks, shirts, and water.  We encourage our members to make this a part of their personal ministry, rather than church sponsored event.  For more information about how to get involved in this ministry, or to donate items for Blessing Bags please contact the church office at 512.863.3071.
